A few words about Million Beauty Looks

Million Beauty Looks is a cosmetics store operating in Thessaloniki since 2019.

It is a modern store with a wide variety of branded care and beauty products for modern women and men.

The company has an e-shop, which allows it to serve customers all over Greece. Furthermore, it is listed on the Skroutz marketplace, the leading price comparison website platform in Greece.

Digital marketing goals

Before the start of our partnership, Million Beauty Looks was active on Facebook and Instagram. However, it wanted to approach a bigger audience and increase its sales.

So, the company turned to W3Vitals, asking us to take over the management of its social media accounts and online advertising.

Our cooperation started in April 2022 and included the following digital marketing goals:

  • enhancing brand awareness
  • increasing traffic to e-shop
  • increasing sales

Challenge: How we create a successful digital media strategy for a cosmetics store

The retail of cosmetics and personal care products is a highly competitive industry.

A strong social media presence can help a cosmetics store reach its target audience and promote its products more effectively.

Building a loyal online community that cares about beauty and personal care is of utmost importance.

Content marketing and the effective use of advertising play a central role in achieving that goal.

One question, though, remains. What are the steps for creating an efficient digital marketing strategy on social media?

Market and competition research

Market and competition research is the first step in drafting an efficient digital marketing strategy.

At the beginning of our partnership with Million Beauty Looks, we analyzed the cosmetic industry and the client’s competitors.

Furthermore, we carried out extensive keyword research for the general product categories of the company, as well as for individual product brands. Our target was to find which product categories and brands have the highest demand among Greek consumers.

Through our research, we gathered data about:

  • which keywords bring more traffic to the client’s e-shop;
  • which pages have the most traffic,
  • what product brands and product categories have the highest demand;
  • which keywords have the highest search volume and the lowest competition;
  • who are the company’s main competitors and what social media strategy do they follow;
  • what type of content is more appealing to the company’s target audience;
  • which hashtags are used more by the industry and have the highest engagement rate.

In that way, we got a grasp of the cosmetic industry and the challenges the client faces.

Optimization of social media accounts

Having at our disposal the above-mentioned data, we move forward with the optimization of the company’s accounts on Facebook, Instagram and Google My Business.

Our copywriter prepared optimized texts for each platform using SEO and storytelling techniques. Meanwhile, our designers prepared the necessary graphic elements for a consistent brand identity.

Finally, the account manager optimized the client’s accounts to present the brand in the best possible way.

Social media content creation

Following the targets set by the client, we drew a content strategy for brand awareness and sales increase.

Our content was divided into:

  • product promotion posts with offers and presentations of various product categories
  • posts and stories with tips on how to use beauty products
  • post and stories with advice on beauty and personal care issues
  • branding content
  • giveaways

Each month, the account manager created a social media calendar posting schedule, which included the products the client wanted to promote at the given time.

Based on that schedule, original creatives were prepared for each post and story.

Giveaway

To increase the client’s followers on social media and enhance its brand awareness, we organized a giveaway in the first month of our partnership.

The giveaway was the same for Facebook and Instagram, lasted one week, and was sponsored with a small budget.

It had the following results:

  • Reach increase: It reached 4,332 people on Facebook and 5,409 on Instagram.
  • Engagement increase: It caused 4,366 interactions on Facebook and 4,209 on Instagram.
  • Follower increase: It brought 548 new likes on Facebook and 427 followers on Instagram.

Influencer collaboration

To increase the company’s brand awareness and customer base, we collaborated with a known influencer for an Instagram giveaway.

In addition to the competition, our collaboration included a story presenting the store and the products the giveaway winners would receive. We also set a special discount code for purchases through the e-shop for the influencer’s followers.

That collaboration brought us 1,813 new followers on Instagram.

Creation of targeted ad campaigns

Ad campaigns are a necessary tool to increase sales and brand awareness.

In the context of our partnership with Million Beauty Looks, we run various ad campaigns on social media. Their target was to increase sales and visits to the e-shop. Those campaigns had an average ROAS of 3.70 and attracted 2,814 visitors to the e-shop.

For even better results, we suggested running Google ads, which we considered a more efficient tool to reach potential buyers. The client agreed with our proposal, so we launched Google ads campaigns at the end of July 2022.

A digital marketing strategy that brings results

During our partnership with Million Beauty Looks, we implemented a strategy with two goals:

  • enhancing brand awareness
  • increasing orders through the e-shop

We put more emphasis on increasing sales, as that was the client’s primary objective. To achieve this goal, we used both organic posts and targeted ads.

In addition, we focused on creating informative and entertaining content to build a loyal online community.

Indicatively, during a four-month period, we achieved the following:
